Doctor of Dental Surgery, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN
Research Areas
Cellular matrices for immunomodulation
Mechanotransduction
Research Interests
My research focuses on studying how the mechanical properties of extracellular matrix influence the effects that stem cells exert on inflammation. The goal of my research is to examine whether the stiffness of extracellular matrix can be used to enhance the immunomodulatory activity of mesenchymal stem cells. The results of these studies may be applied towards developing novel stem cell therapies for treating inflammatory conditions.
