- Research Focus
My research has focused on new materials and technologies emerging at the interface between mechanics and biomaterials, and exploited them to develop biomaterial-based strategies for tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, cell and drug delivery. I am currently developing tissue-adhesive tough hydrogels and the related applications in wound healing, myocardium patches and soft robotics. I am also working on hydrogel scaffolds to deliver therapeutic proteins for prompting tendon regeneration.
