A big congratulations to Aileen Li, who defended her PhD thesis earlier this year. Aileen was one of the pioneers of the injectable, mesoporous silica vaccine platform. She will be heading to Wendell Lim's synthetic biology lab at UCSF to conduct her postdoctoral studies. Her many scientific contributions to the lab, presence, and positive energy will be missed by all. Best of luck in your new position!
